Brand System Case Study
Mossy Gal / 2025–2026
Mossy Gal
A wellness brand transformed into a connected system across packaging, Shopify, customer education, email, print, and future growth.
Overview
A strong product business needed a clearer system around it.
Mossy Gal had growing customer interest across sea moss, skincare, and pet wellness. But labels, product education, Shopify content, email communication, print materials, and future product ideas were developing separately.
The opportunity was to connect those pieces into one customer-facing system that could support ecommerce, pop-up sales, product education, and long-term expansion.
Challenge
The brand did not need more random assets. It needed structure.
Product Education
Customers needed clearer guidance around what products were, how to use them, and where each line fit into their routine.
Brand Consistency
Labels, Shopify, email, and print needed to feel like one brand instead of separate updates.
Growth Readiness
The system needed to support new SKUs, seasonal products, bundles, pop-ups, and future ecommerce improvements.
Strategy
One connected system instead of many separate projects.
Every recommendation was made through the customer’s experience. Labels, email, packaging, print, Shopify, and growth planning became connected parts of the same brand system.
The goal was simple: make the brand easier to understand, easier to present, and easier to expand.
Execution
Strategy became a working system across products, digital touchpoints, and customer education.
Identity System & Product Line Branding
Recreated and organized the brand foundation into a more complete system, including typography, color, brand patterns, usage direction, and line-specific applications for sea moss, skincare, and pet wellness.
Sea Moss Label System
Built a consistent label system across core flavors, seasonal direction, pet wellness, ingredient updates, QR usage, scripture placement, and customer-facing product hierarchy.
Skincare System
Extended the visual system into skincare so each product stayed connected to the main brand while making benefits, usage, and product purpose easier to scan.
Shopify Experience
Supported Shopify organization, product education, QR-linked content, and customer-facing structure so the online experience could better support the growing product system.
Print & Customer Education
Developed customer education materials for pop-ups, vendor shops, recipes, product discovery, and post-purchase confidence.
Growth Planning
Organized future opportunities across bundles, seasonal flavors, skincare extensions, pet wellness, men’s grooming, and customer journey improvements.
Visual Proof
A cohesive system built to carry across product, digital, and customer education touchpoints.
Selected Applications
The system extended across packaging, customer-facing visuals, and brand growth.
Deliverables
A complete system across six connected areas.
Brand guidelines, identity direction, product line structure.
Sea moss, skincare, pet wellness, and seasonal label systems.
Shopify support, product education, QR-linked content.
Welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, and review communication.
Pop-up education, product menu, recipe, and brand materials.
Bundles, product roadmap, expansion planning, and future opportunities.
Outcome
A stronger system built for ecommerce, education, pop-ups, and long-term growth.
Instead of solving isolated design problems, the work connected the brand’s major customer touchpoints—making the business easier to understand, easier to present, and easier to expand.

Reflection
What this project reinforced.
Strong brands do not usually struggle because they lack ideas. They struggle because product lines, customer education, messaging, sales materials, and digital touchpoints evolve independently. Organizing those pieces into one connected system creates clarity—for both the business and the customer.
